Leaf-Vac Program

The City of Assumption will be picking up leaves from Tuesday, October 28, 2025 thru Tuesday, November 25, 2025 on Tuesday and Thursdays. Dates are subject to change due to weather.
Please do:
Rake your leaves in a neat pile, no more than 15 ft. long
Rakes leaves within 3 feet of curb or road
Leaves will be ready for pick up by 8:00 am
Pile leaves on street side of ditches (this keeps the truck on the road and out of your yard.
DO NOT:
Do not rake leaves into street or gutters
Do not rake leaves into bottom of ditches
Do not put branches, yard waste or garbage in pile of leaves
Do not pile leaves in alley
REMINDER: Burning is only allowed on Tuesday and Saturday from 6 am to 6 pm for yard waste only.
Not following the rules will result in your leaves not getting picked up.
