Park Facilities

The City of Assumption's park facilities are available to groups and citizens to reserve for family gatherings, group parties, picnics, meetings, or other events.

ILLINOIS STREET PARK -

Illinois Street Park has a nice pavilion with a concrete floor, several picnic tables - including some wheelchair accessible, lights and power outlets. A grill is located just outside the pavilion.  THE PAVILION IS RESERVABLE!! If you would like to reserve the park's pavilion for a birthday party, family reunion, baby shower, etc. just call City Hall @ 217-226-3742 ext. 11 between 8:30 and 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday or leave a message. There is no cost to reserve the pavilion.


Illinois Street Park has the opportunity for fun for all ages including swings, slides, bouncy toys, excavating toys, small climbing wall, basketball hoops, tennis courts and horseshoe pits.

ASSUMPTION WOMEN'S CLUB RAILROAD PARK -

Come and see the authentic restored caboos, enjoy the beautiful landscapping and relax in the park gazebo.
